Respect

Last Saturday i learn a valuable lesson about life. I wanted to blog about it on Saturday but i was so busy that i could only blog about it today.




And that is "Respect should be earned, and nobody will just give you respect without you proving that you deserve the respect you require."




Why am i saying this? Because on Saturday i was playing a soccer match for my friend and we had an argument about something called respect.




Throughout the match, i was scolding my friend as he was making lots and lots of silly mistakes and it seems to me he wasn't playing with passion and the heart that is required of him.




At the end of the match, we had a heated argument and he claimed that i was not showing him the respect he deserved and that i was kept scolding him for nothing.



My reply to him was that if he had played well, nobody would have to criticizes you the way we did, and people would respect him if he would have played well.



Well, that statement did shut him up and i guess he do realize that what i said do make sense after all.
