Auntie

An auntie is defined in the dictionary as your uncle's wife or your father's sister. But in Singapore, it's defined as any aged lady that goes for special discount items, joins a queue without knowing what it's for, nagging at you at alarming speed, and the way they wear clothes are quite typical(dull colours with those flowery flowery designs) which looks quite ugly. . .

So that day, while on my way back from work, I was at the bus stop outside Ang Mo Kio Mrt Station. Just for your information, Ang Mo Kio is an auntie-infested area because it's quite an old town.

As i was saying, i was waiting for my bus. So when my bus arrives, i pulled my living-dead body and moved towards the bus entrance with the following crowd. I was near the front of the queue, when i overheard an old voice shouting 'excuse me, excuse me'. I though the auntie was rushing somewhere else and so i move abit, allowing her to pass me. But she just walked into the space i just vacated. By then, many people were staring at her, being me, i followed suit. She turned around and stared at me, and i can't believe she had the cheek to say this, in front of an almost shocked crowd. This was what she said 'What? Singaporeans youngster must
always give way to old people." I was like what! So what if you are and auntie, you are cutting people's queue and you say that it's not your fault. It's the same as committing murder and saying it's not you.

Well, this pretty sums up that day. In the end, i just let her cut my queue and all stares were on me instead. Was pretty tired and did not want a confrontation with the auntie. Haha.

Love Me, Hate me.
