Today, i was supposed to meet my friend after work at 3.15pm at the newly opened Ang Mo Kio Hub. I was late because I left my division only at 3.15pm. Bastards took their time with the briefing.
Well, after i reached the mall, i gave my friend a call and he told me he was on the 2nd level. I went looking for him and guess what? I got lost in the mall, it was abit confusing trying to find for a store that's not there. My friend told me he was at sportslink and the closest they have to sportslink is world of sports. - -" . . . Lost in transition. . .
Well, found him abit later and we wander around the mall like hungry ghosts, desperately looking for a desperate decent meal. We had our breakfast/lunch/dinner at some noodles shop. Being broke finally has a new meaning. Haha.
We headed off to the NTUC Fairprice at the basement of Ang Mo Kio Hub to get some stuffs and my friend stumbled upon a very good offer, a "takuda" brand "air cooler and purifier " @ $79.90. . . Well, he being the very uncle kind, thought that it was a good deal, and bought it. Well, we had to carry that stupid bulky thing back to his house by BUS! Oh my god, and we chose to go back at the peak period where lots of people like to pack into the bus like sardines in a can. We got no choice because both of us are broke and can't afford the taxi fare. Even while on the bus, this uncle chose to conveniently rest his elbow on his big box.
Finally we reached his house, and we tried out his new "air cooler and purifier". Haha, it turned out to be so hot and humid instead. We wanted to refund the aircon but somehow the customer service centre was closed very early. In fact, it was closed 3 hours before the intended time. We got so fed up, we sent an email to the headquarters but still no reply. What BAD after-service NTUC fairprice have! After this experience, it makes me think twice about buying products from there again. I'll have doubts over their reliance from now on.
